Meeting with fishermen and hunters in the area of Kolkheti National Park

On 14th of June, 2022 SABUKO held a meeting with fishermen, hunters and administration staff living near Kolkheti National Park. The meeting with the fishermen and hunters was held in cooperation with the Kolkheti National Park, within the framework of the BSB ECO Monitoring project .
At the meeting, participants got acquainted with the existing legislation in the field of biodiversity and the legislation regulating fishing and hunting. Second part of the meeting was devoted to the topic of ichthyofauna and the challenges the national Park and its water resources are facing nowadays.
The fishermen were actively involved in the course of the meeting and themselves provided the project experts with valuable information for scientific research.
